Why Your Bridal Nail Trial Is Just as Important as Your Hair and Makeup Trial
If you know my work, you’ll know that my main focus is nails for TV, film and fashion, alongside my private clients in Mallorca. However, I also work with brides every year, and after years of bridal appointments, there’s something I believe deserves more attention: the bridal nail trial.
It’s common to arrange hair and makeup trials well in advance of a wedding, yet nails are sometimes left until the final days. If you’re planning your wedding manicure, here’s why I’d encourage you to give it the same consideration.
Your nails are part of your overall bridal look
From exchanging rings and holding your bouquet to signing documents and having photographs taken, your hands will feature in so many moments throughout your wedding day.
Your manicure might seem like a small detail in the grand scheme of wedding planning, but it contributes to your overall look. You want to feel happy with your nails when you look down at your hands, see your rings or look back at your photographs years later.
Your inspiration photos are a starting point, not a guarantee
Pinterest is wonderful for inspiration, but a nail design can look quite different from one person to another.
Your natural nail length and shape, skin tone and undertones, the condition of your nails and the way a design is created all influence the final result. Even the same colour can look different depending on the person wearing it.
This is particularly important if you’re new to professional nail services. You might have a clear idea of what you want, but not yet know how certain shapes, lengths, colours or finishes will look on your own hands.
A trial gives you the opportunity to see what’s achievable for you, discuss your preferences and establish realistic expectations before your wedding day.
A trial gives us time to make adjustments
Perhaps the colour needs to be warmer, the shape needs refining or you’d prefer a slightly different length. These are all things we can explore during a trial.
Rather than making first-time decisions under pressure, we have time to discuss the details, make adjustments and agree on a look you’re comfortable with.
It also allows us to establish a clear plan for your wedding manicure, including the service required, timing and any preparation needed beforehand.
There’s more to your nails than the finished look
As a nail artist and educator, I believe understanding your nails is just as important as choosing your design.
During a trial, we can discuss nail preparation, maintenance, aftercare and how to look after your manicure in the lead-up to the wedding. If you’re considering extensions or a particular nail service for the first time, it’s also an opportunity to understand what’s involved and what will work best for you.
Having this conversation beforehand gives you time to take everything in, ask questions and feel confident about the decisions we’ve made together.

Your wedding-day appointment should feel relaxed
The days leading up to a wedding can be wonderfully exciting, but they can also be overwhelming. Family and friends are arriving, final details need attention, and even the best-planned weddings can come with unexpected changes.
The last thing I want is for your nail appointment to become another source of stress.
Having already met, discussed your preferences and agreed on a plan means we can spend less time making decisions and more time enjoying the appointment. My aim is to create a calm, comfortable space where you can take a breath, sit back and be pampered before the celebrations begin.
I want you to leave feeling happy with your nails and ready for the day ahead.
Planning your bridal nails in Mallorca
I take a limited number of bridal bookings each year because my primary focus remains TV, film and fashion, alongside my private clients. This means planning ahead is particularly important if you’d like to work together.
If you’re getting married in Mallorca and would like to discuss your bridal manicure, I invite you to explore my bridal beauty page for more information about my services and availability.
Your wedding manicure deserves a little planning, too. Let’s make sure it’s one less thing to worry about when your special day arrives.
