Transforming a lifelong passion into a thriving business has been an incredible journey. In 2016, I returned to Canada and decided to follow my dream by enrolling in nail school. By 2017, I had reduced my teaching hours and became a certified Nail Technician at eV Nails in New Westminster, just outside Vancouver. Shortly after, I launched my own mobile nail business in the picturesque town of Whistler, British Columbia.
Eager to expand my expertise, I earned a certificate in 3D Nail Design from Body Pro Beauty & Aesthetics Inc. in Brampton, Ontario, in late 2018. I then operated a successful private nail studio in Toronto for 18 months before relocating to Squamish, British Columbia. In this beautiful mountain town, I ran a private nail studio for two years before embarking on an exciting new chapter in Spain.
Today, I call the magical island of Palma de Mallorca home. Here, I have transitioned into the world of session styling, becoming a professional Session Manicurist. My work now includes providing expert nail services for TV, film, and the fashion industry. When I’m not on production sets, I’m in my studio spaces, crafting stunning nails for my private clients.
I exclusively use luxury, vegan nail products of the highest quality, ensuring every appointment is a premium experience. My services are designed to be more than just a nail appointment—they’re a true indulgence. Unlike traditional “in-and-out” salons, I focus on personalized care and artistry.

Holding a BA in the Classics, with a focus on Ancient Art and Archaeology, I believe education is a lifelong journey. What does Ahyoka mean?
Ahyoka means “she brought happiness.” It is an old Cherokee (Native American) name, belonging to the daughter of Sequoyah—the man who created the written Cherokee language in the early 1800s. While Ahyoka isn’t my name (it’s Ashante!), the essence of this name reflects my mission as a nail artist: to bring happiness through creativity and beauty.
